ARCHERY: Archery is where body and mind meet. Shooting an arrow is not only physical effort but concentration and “feeling” the bow in your hands. The aim of this activity is introducing the basics of archery in a safe and natural environment.
NON COMPETITIVE SPORTS ACTIVITIES: You can choose among five-a-side football, soccer, basketball and volleyball
BIO-WATCHING: this activity teaches you the basics of botany, zoology and geology in a funny and interactive way. You can practice bio-watching in public gardens, parks and nature reserves. You will be asked to take pictures and geo-reference some specific natural elements, working in team and testing your observation skills.
BIRDWATCHING: in this activity you will learn the basics to understand bird life and to identify the main species that can be found in our territory. Experience a full-immersion in the habitat of our avifauna and learn to build a cardboard nest. You can also choose to install the nest in your schoolyard.
CLAY LABORATORIES: clay is one the best known and used material since ancient times. Discover the different working techniques and learn how to shape a “colombino” vase. You will also find out how the ancients used to cook and preserve food, how then would enlighten their houses with terracotta lamps. But you can also choose to shape a mask like the ones the ancient romans used in their theatres.

THE WATER’S JOURNEY: Discover the reconstitution of the water cycle from its source. A laboratory that, thanks to a sort of theatrical play, explains the journey the water makes on Earth.
RECOMMENDED AGE: 6 YEARS AND UP
A HOME FOR EVERYBODY: A laboratory to reach the basics techniques to understand the ecology, the ethology of bird’s life and to identify the mean species of the territory, it will even help to get to know these usually invisible residents of the world. Learn how to build a home-nest made in cardboard.
A TREE’SLIFE: A laboratory in which you can get familiar with concepts like biodiversity, ecological niches and dynamic balance of the ecosystems. Let’s build together a Tree’s life diorama. The story of the “rainbow country” will be the excuse to deepen the knowledge of the alternation of colors, the life on trees and around them. A walk in a natural place or in an urban park will be useful to pick up the material to create the diorama but you will also use recycled objects and tempera colors; hands will be your brushes!
RECOMMENDED AGE: 8 YEARS AND UP
THE ART OF FABRIC: Discover the secrets of the ancient dyeing art of fibers and learn the techniques and the tools utilized to transform the textile in cloths. Experience the productive process of ancient clothes: harvesting of raw material, coloring of natural fibers, weaving of the textile all in one day!
At the end you will be involved in a fashion show with etruscans and romans clothes.
RECOMMENDED AGE: 9 YEARS AND UP
WATER QUALITY: Rivers can be perceived as an ecosystem with its elements collaborating in a abiotic and continually changing environment. Through the analysis of the bentonical fauna we can find in rivers, it is possible to have all the data about the Biotical Extended Index (BEI). Thanks to this index we will have the chance to inspect the water health. Students will be lead to recognize the biological markers of the BEI in rivers in order to verify the efficiency of the River Continuum and the value of the FEI (Fluvial Efficiency Index).
ORIENTEERING: These activities are designed to enable the teaching of basic orienteering skills and associated physical skills in a fun and exciting manner and, most important, in a safe environment. Learn how to use a compass to find punches, learn how to work in team to achieve the goal!
RECOMMENDED AGE: 10 YEARS AND UP
BIO-MAPPING: Discover the world of cartography and topography in this funny and interactive laboratory. Learn how to read a map, observe the world around you and realize a bio-mapping of a territory with your classmates.
PLANTS IDENTIKIT: Experience a guided botanical itinerary in the Mediterranean maquis that stimulate the direct knowledge in the natural environment, with the help of each one of our senses. Science, of course, but also curiosities, legends and traditional aspects can be found in this very interesting laboratory.
